Last month we asked how members felt about people using the Digest for self-promotion.
TJ co-publisher Elizabeth Eyre posted: “Recently, I have noticed an increase in the number of people seeking to use this forum to publicise themselves, their products, their services and/or their websites for free.

“On the one hand, this is verging on the understandable: in tough economic times all opportunities for securing new business are fair game, and the kind of questions posed by Digest members looking for recommendations and tools can invite answers that promote a trainer and/or his/her products.

“On the other hand, it goes against the spirit of the Digest, particular if posters are not as honest as they could, and should, be about the reasons for their recommendations.
