TJ Online Discussion

TJ Online Discussion Forum Welcome to the TJ Online Discussion Forum

The TJ Online discussion forum and online community offers a platform for networking and the exchange of news, views and information, where you can give and receive help and advice, while enjoying lively debate with other L&D professionals.

How it works

Exchange ideas with people working in similar areas of learning and development by sending in your emails to Discussion@TrainingJournal.com.

We take all the messages you send in each day and put them into one email – the Daily Discussion Digest.  We send out the Daily Discussion Digest to our subscribers every day, Monday to Friday, meaning it is incredibly easy to keep up with the discussion.  Even when you are away from your email, you can still access the digest on the TJ Online website.

Please make the context of your message clear.  New people are joining every day and messages may not make sense if readers have not seen earlier correspondence.

Archive

Once posted, you can search for messages on the TJ Online archive.  Please make the subject of your message clear to allow for easier searching on the archive.

Moderator

The TJ Online discussion forum is moderated, so if you have any questions or need help, please email us - contact@trainingjournal.com or call 01353 865340.

Rules

We ask contributors to follow just a few rules.  The full list is available at http://www.trainingjournal.com/discussion/rules.php but the main rules to remember are:

  • Make sure your email is relevant to our training, learning and development and HR audience.
  • Please keep postings to around 400 words or less.
  • Direct responses to requests for suppliers recommending yourself should be kept off forum. When responding to such requests please contact the member directly by clicking their name directly from the Digest, which will link you to their registered email, rather than responding to the Digest as a whole.
  • Any recommendations, in response to a members' request, must be accompanied by a statement of interest and must be relevant to the original poster's request. If posts do not include a statement of interest they will be deleted.
  • Any form of direct advertising will be removed.
  • Anything that is unlawful, for example anything that infringes the copyright of another, will be removed.
  • Don't include swear words, even those disguised with asterisks or other symbols, in your posting. Many of our subscribers use filtering software and emails that include profanity are rejected.
  • Please remember that all postings are moderated and subject to editing or amendment at the editor's discretion. Posts will be checked for appropriate content and will be edited for readability, spelling and grammar, and style; we will not change the meaning or substantive content of posts that have contravened the rules without seeking prior clarification from the poster.
  • We will only accept posts advertising the activities of UKHRD member groups, or groups now being set up by and for Digest members. Any posts promoting other networking groups, not directly associated with the Digest or UKHRD, will be deleted as advertising unless they are a contemporaneous response to members queries about networking opportunities, in which case they must be relevant to the specific request.
